Every June since 1893 the University of Chicago has printed a program for its convocation, a list of every degree conferred, every prize, and a short roll of Student Marshals. The programs go into a box, the box goes onto a shelf, and the names go nowhere. conferred.org takes the whole run and turns it into a page for every person named in it, with the printed line they came from sitting right there as proof.
